Profile

Having graduated in Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RIO), he has a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, United States (2000). He also has a postgraduate degree in International Copyright Law from King’s College, University of London (2005) and also in Company Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (1995). He also holds the diploma “Summer School in English Legal Methods” from the Sydney Sussex College, University of Cambridge, England (1996).

He is an adviser to the Dannemann Siemsen Institute of Technical and Legal Studies and serves a significant clientele in the entertainment industry including the audio-visual area of music and new media, and works in the writing and negotiation of agreements involving the various areas of entertainment law, advises clients on trademarks and copyright and deals with complex lawsuits involving entertainment law, copyright, personality rights and trademarks. He also deals with the release of trademark and film rights for cinema and television, both in national and foreign productions, and is the author of several articles and book chapters.

In addition, he participates in important associations such as ABA, ABAPI, ABPI, ASIL, ICANN At Large, INTA, LES Brasil and OAB-RJ.

In recognition of his work, he was cited in Chambers & Partners, Global and Latin America editions 2018, Leaders League 2017, WTR 1000 – World Trademark Review 2018 and Análise Advocacia 500 – Most admired lawyer 2017.
