With more than 25 years’ experience, Joaquim is board member at the firm and coordinates the litigation team, with special attention to civil and criminal areas. He is specialist in patent, industrial design and trademark litigation.

He has a postgraduate degree from the Getulio Vargas Foundation in Economics and Business Law. He also holds a master’s degree (LLM) in Intellectual Property Law from the John Marshall Law School-Chicago, USA. He is co-author of the books “Comments on the Industrial Property Law”, from the “Collection of Intellectual Property Laws” and the book “Global Patent Litigation: how and where to win”.

He is highlighted annually in several national and international publications and in prestigious awards in the Intellectual Property area, such as: “Who’s Who Legal”, “IAM PATENT 1000”, “IAM Magazine”, “World Trademark Review 1000”, “Análise Advocacia 500 – The most admired in Law”, “MIP IP Stars”, “Latin American Corporate Counsel Association (LACCA)”, and “Leaders League”, among others.

He participates actively in important national and international associations such as: ABA, ABPI, AIPLA, AIPPI, ASIPI, INTA, and IPO.
