Elisabeth Siemsen do Amaral is partner and member of the board of directors of Dannemann, Siemsen, Bigler & Ipanema Moreira, with more than 35 years’ experience in IP, specialized in trademarks, focused on prosecution, administrative litigation and strategy.

Partner responsible for the National and the International Trademark Department of the firm and managing partner at Dannemann Siemsen Latam. Member of the Evaluation and Remuneration committee and of the Ethics Committee of the firm and chair of the DsElas/Women Program.

Member of the Board of Directors of International Trademark Association – INTA (2023-2025). Member of the Global Advisory Counsel Latam & Caribe (GAC) and the Leadership Development Committee (LDC) of INTA.

Past President of the Inter-American Intellectual Property Association – ASIPI (2018-2021), and currently president of the “Comisión de Fortalecimiento Institucional”, member of the Ethics Comission and the Social Action Committee of ASIPI.

Member of the Board of Directors Council of the Brazilian Intellectual Property Association – ABPI, since 2014.

Member of the Executive Committee of the Brazilian Industrial Property Agent Association – ABAPI (2008-2015).

Member of the Trademark Committee of the Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle – AIPPI (2013-2018).

Member of national and international IP associations such as INTA, ASIPI, AIPPI, ECTA, ABAPI and ABPI.

Recognized as an IPStar by Managing Intellectual Property and highlighted as one of the Top 250 Women in IP, in the 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 editions and recommended by the trademark guide WTR 1000 (The World’s Leading Trademark Professionals) in the 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021and 2022 editions. Her name was cited in the publication of the Top 80 WIPR’s Influential Women in IP 2019 edition. She received the Silver Marcasur Excellence Award in the 2014 edition.
