The lecture by IDS Board Member, Carlos Eduardo Eliziário de Lima, on August 9th, at Joana de Gusmão Children’s Hospital, Florianópolis, on “The Impacts of GDPR in the Clinical Research Sector”, was featured on the Government of Santa Catarina state website.
The event, sponsored by the Research Ethics Committee of the Joana de Gusmão Children’s Hospital, was open to the public and was attended by professionals from public and private institutions working with research involving human beings. The objective was to stimulate the debate about the processing of personal data and the role of researchers, sponsors, and institutions that perform this type of research as a controller, operator or data controller.
