Retrospective of IDS events in 2023
In 2023, the Dannemann Siemsen Institute (IDS) stepped up its efforts to disseminate the Intellectual Property culture.
Over the course of the year, IDS held a series of events, including Agenda IDS, an online event in the form of an interview panel, in which we covered important topics on IP, law and technology, with the participation of specialists. A total of 7 (seven) Agenda IDS webinars were held in 2023, on the following topics: legal aspects of Artificial Intelligence; relevant topics relating to patent application amendments; the application of the concept of parody in the area of trademarks; clearance in entertainment activities; copyright theses: plagiarism and data mining; studying intellectual property in the USA; and divisional patent applications.
We also published the second edition of our Yearbook of Case Law! The document contains 10 (ten) articles with comments on relevant IP decisions handed down in 2022. We also organized the 3rd Seminar on Civil Procedure and Industrial Property (IP), a face-to-face event that discussed procedural aspects inherent to the IP area, as well as the courts’ positions on the matter, with the presence of 03 judges from the TJRJ.
It is also important to highlight the “IDS Encounters”, a project involving lectures, classes and other events aimed at students, with the aim of bringing them closer to IDS activities. This year, we welcomed students from UFRJ and FGV/RIO universities.
We also publish our bi-weekly posts on our media and website, with up-to-date news on intellectual property and related topics. We published more than 100 posts in 2023!
IDS would like to thank everyone who has collaborated with, honored or participated in our events and activities in any way. We wish you all happy holidays! In 2024, we will continue our work, promoting knowledge and research in IP, sharing ideas and bringing more and more initiatives.
