On the 22nd, IDS executive director, Gustavo Piva de Andrade, gave a lecture in the course “Copyright in Practice” organized by the Institute of Technology and Society (ITS). The class was part of the advanced module and examined how to protect computer programs and algorithms in the Brazilian legal system.
The course organized by the Institute of Technology and Society is aimed at lawyers, journalists, artists, cultural producers or researchers in the area. The goal is to address the main fundamentals of copyright from a contemporary perspective, combining theory and practice with the analysis of concrete cases.
Classes are live in real-time via ITS Rio’s interactive platform, made available to students. They are also recorded for consultation by students enrolled for up to six months.
