Webinar – Digital Law and Intellectual Property
New technologies have reached great relevance in the social and innovation context in an economy increasingly driven by data. Among the main concerns, we highlight the massive collection of personal data and automated decisions, which affect people’s lives in multiple aspects: credit analysis and granting, autonomous vehicles, integrated objects – IoT, violation of personality rights, among others.
How do legal disputes unfold between Digital Law and IP? To what extent do artificial intelligence systems present challenges to intellectual property rights? How does the legal protection of software and algorithms unfold and favor the environment of innovation and development?
To address these and other issues, IDS, in partnership with the New Law Institute promoted a free Webinar, which was attended by Isabela Ferrari, New Law coordinator and federal judge, Gustavo Piva, IDS executive director, and Bianca Kremer, academic coordinator of IDS.
