IDS members Gustavo Piva de Andrade, Felipe Dannemann Lundgren, Monique Rodrigues Teixeira, Natalia Barzilai, and Bernardo Marinho Fontes Alexandre spoke at the event, held at the Law School of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
During the first day of the event, IDS members explained how the Intellectual Property system works and why it is one of the drivers of innovation. Also, they provided tips on what skills students should develop to act successfully in the IP field. On the second day, professors and students of the Law School of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro promoted the “1st Exhibit of Academic Research on Intellectual Property” and debated the reflections of IP in Digital Law.
The director of the Law School of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Professor Carlos Alberto Pereira das Neves Bologna, thanked IDS and pointed out the importance of partnerships between the public universities and research institutes.
