Rodrigo de Assis Torres, a lawyer and Industrial Property Agent, is a partner of the Dannemann Siemsen firm.  Having graduated in Law from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, he has a postgraduate degree in Civil Procedural Law from the Getulio Vargas Foundation and is specialized in Civil Procedural Law at the Pontifical Catholic University in Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio).

Rodrigo attends to domestic and foreign clients from many different industries. He recently worked on a landmark case in the games market, where a stay of injunction was won that had blocked the sale, in Brazil, of the game Counter Strike, distributed by Electronic Arts, since 2008. The victory constitutes the first res judicata Brazilian court ruling that recognizes that it is not possible to ban the launch of videogames based on their violent content (censorship).
