Elisabeth Siemsen do Amaral is partner of the Dannemann Siemsen Firm, with more than 30 years’ experience in trademarks. She manages the national and overseas trademark department in the Firm, and she is also member of the Evaluation and Compensations Committee of the Firm as well as the internal Ethics Committee.
Elisabeth is the vice-president of the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI), member of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Association of Intellectual Property (ABPI) and member of the trademark committee of the Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle (AIPPI). She also was the Communications Director of Brazilian Association of Industrial Property Agents (ABAPI) from 2008 to 2011 and member of the Audit, Advisory and Ethics Council of ABAPI from 2012 to 2015. Former President of the Trademark Committee of Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI), from 2003 to 2009.
She is a member of ABAPI, ABPI, ASIPI, AIPPI, INTA and ECTA. Elisabeth was awarded as IP Star by Managing Intellectual Property and highlighted as one of the Top 250 Women in IP in the 2017 edition.
She also has the Marcasur Excellence Award Silver in the 2014 edition.
Elisabeth has several articles on Intellectual Property published in Brazil and abroad.
