Brazil’s ratification of the Nagoya Protocol has created a series of uncertainties about how companies that access genetic resources in Brazil should proceed. Likewise, those who use genetic heritage from other countries are also not sure how to proceed.

To discuss this topic, the Dannemann Siemsen Institute gathered this May 20th, starting at 5 pm, a group of experts for the free webinar “We have ratified the Nagoya Protocol, what now?”. The debate was divided into two parts. The first having Brazil as a provider of genetic heritage and the second as a user of third-party genetic heritage.
