Article – “The Supreme Court and ADI 5529: the direction of innovation”

The Lex Latin portal highlights in its edition of the 29th article by IDS counselor Luiz Augusto Lopes Paulino and lawyer Willian Lecciolli entitled “The Supreme Federal Court and ADI 5529: the directions of innovation”. In this text, the authors emphasize that “this discussion takes place within the scope of the Direct Action of Unconstitutionality – ADI nº 5529-Federal District, proposed by the Republic Attorney General in 2015, and is extremely important for any and all titleholders, whether of a patent already granted or a patent application filed, in Brazil regardless of the industry sector.”

This theme was discussed on the 28th in the webinar intituled “ADI 5529: Impacts on Innovation: BPTO’s Vision and Industry Sectors”, promoted by the Dannemann Siemsen Institute (watch it here). The event was attended by representatives from the market and industry, such as Christian Lohbauer (Executive President of CropLife Brasil), Elizabeth de Carvalhaes (Executive President of Interfarma), Eneida Berbare (ANPEI), and Liane Lage (Patent Director of BPTO). The webinar was moderated by IDS counselor Luiz Augusto Lopes Paulino and Dannemann Siemsen’s partner Gustavo de Freitas Morais.
