Marcelo has been working for almost 20 years in the intellectual property field. He is Vice-President of Intellectual Property at the Brazilian Centre of Mediation and Arbitration (CBMA).
He holds a master’s degree in Civil Procedural Law from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), is a professor of civil procedure at the Magistrates’ School in the State of Rio de Janeiro (EMERJ) and a member of the Brazilian Institute of Procedural Law (IBDP), the Brazilian Association of Procedural Law (ABDPro) and the Carioca Institute of Civil Procedure (ICPC).
He is a Court Expert, a specialist at the ABAPI Domain Name Dispute Resolution Chamber (CSD-ABPI) and mediator at the Mediation Chamber there (CMED-ABPI). He participates in important associations such as AASP, ABAPI, ABPI and is also a member of the OAB/RJ Conflict Mediation Committee and the Rio de Janeiro coordinator of MEDIARE Intellectual Property.
